Historie - Düperthal Sicherheitstechnik GmbH & Co. KG

1953

Founding of Willy Düperthal Einrichtungen für Büro und Betrieb

In addition to selling office equipment, we also developed our own product line made of wood. In the years to come, these new creations became a game changer for the whole industry.

1970

Fire protection becomes a new department

Development of containers and devices for flammable liquids.

1971

First self-closing safety storage cabinet

DÜPERTHAL developed the first self-closing safety storage cabinet based on state-of-the-art European fire protection technology.

1973

Founding of DÜPERTHAL Sicherheitstechnik GmbH

Thanks to regular and comprehensive specialist training, as well as exhibitions at trade fairs, our safety portfolio quickly received widespread recognition.

1992

Large extension of the office building in Karlstein, Germany

After the great sales success of, for example, hazardous substance storage in different sizes, the company premises were extended considerably.

1994

Takeover by family-owned company Hanning

DÜPERTHAL becomes part of the Hanning Group, laying the foundation for continuous innovation and growth.
Introduction of quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001.

2003

First EN-compliant Type 90 safety storage cabinet

DÜPERTHAL sets a new benchmark as a pioneer in the safe storage of hazardous substances. Just one year later, DÜPERTHAL celebrates the global première of active storage safety cabinets, including supply and disposal of media.

2012

Extreme test

Our products demonstrate their robustness and safety under the toughest conditions. The documentary film “Extreme test” shows for the first time the impressive performance of a DÜPERTHAL safety storage cabinet during a fire over a period of 90 minutes.

2016

Digital solutions

First certified digital solutions for safety storage cabinets: Smart Control, Cabi2Net.

2020

Award for BATTERY line

The revision of the safety cabinet for lithium-ion batteries developed by DÜPERTHAL in 2017 was awarded the “Product of the Year Shortlist” at FeuerTrutz 2020.

2023

DÜPERTHAL connect

DÜPERTHAL brings the safety storage cabinet into the digital age and develops an innovative network solution uniting real-time monitoring, optimised hazardous substance management and maximum safety.
